I was thinking that as well as writing entries about meals I eat out, I should also write entries and make use of all the photos I take on my phone throughout the week. So I will try and do a weekly update and include a selection in that.
We had friends over on Saturday night who were still there at Sunday lunch and Dave cooked a crab, chilli and lime linguine. This is one of our favourite things to eat, it’s really simple to do.
We went to my mums. She’d said that she wasn’t doing a big meal, just a ‘light tea’. This is typical of my mum 🙂
Dave cooked a gumbo style meal with chicken and chorizo. Before dinner I had the bottle of Iron Press that my mum had given me. It tasted like a really strong Appletiser. It was really nice!
Homemade pizza (chorizo, red pepper and sunblush tomatoes) and a bottle of Saltaire Pale Ale.
My Graze box was delivered!
We went out for lunch to a cafe in Almondbury (T and Cake Cafe) and I had the most amazing meatball sandwich. I loved every mouthful! While we were there we called in The Lollipop Tree and got some sweets for my mum for mothers day, and some Yorkshire Mixture for me.
We had a friend over and instead of calling for pizza, we defrosted a couple of shepherds pie that Dave had made earlier with Paganum Produce hoggat.
After a lazy morning, Dave cooked croque madams for brunch.
We’d been planning the mothers day tea for my mum on Sunday and for dessert we decided to do madeleines, so I cooked these on Saturday afternoon.
It was curry night! We made 3 curries and chappatis. We had Coconut Chicken and Sweet potato curry from Leon book 2 and tarka dal from the BBC site.
